UPS power batteries usually last 3 to 5 years. Its life expectancy depends on many factors, including usage (the number of times the device must be in battery-powered mode) and other environmental factors. The following are some usage principles that can ensure the best life expectancy of the UPS:

1. Make sure to place your UPS in a cool, dry and well-ventilated location. Under ideal conditions, the temperature of the place where the UPS is placed should not be higher than 24 degrees Celsius. At the same time, for ventilation purposes, leave about 1 to 2 inches of space on each side to facilitate air circulation.

2. Only 1 to 2 UPS runtime calibrations are required per year. Sometimes a runtime calibration can be performed to verify that your runtime is sufficient. Do not perform run-time calibration frequently because it will reduce the life expectancy of the battery.

4. The load should not exceed 80% of the UPS rated capacity, which will reduce the running time. When the load increases, the running time will decrease accordingly. If the power supply cannot be supplied, the UPS running at full load will quickly deplete and release its battery power, which will reduce the expected life of the battery. Note: To ensure longer battery runtime, do not connect the laser printer to the backup battery socket of the UPS. Make sure that the laser printer uses a "surge-only" socket (use the appropriate model).
